in many of these images the aim is to capture, explore, and expand a focal point or opening in the surface of an ordinary visual plane

leading the eye through a portal where one can begin to explore other realms of the image

the finished photo-based art objects attempt to convey a sense of varying depth through a process of photographic composites comprised of layers of altered versions to create a hologram-like effect
